This 5-year, $33 million dollar contract is led by the GMRE team as the prime contractor to provide engineering services supporting test and program management for the AATC, the National Guard Bureau (NGB), and the Airforce Reserve Command (AFRC).

This contract scope included providing systems engineering, senior engineering and technician services, program management, and subject matter expertise. Being a 5-year contract, we were able to support modernization and sustainment efforts for each Mission Design Series (MDS) in the Air Reserve Component (ARC), including C-5M, KC-135, C/LC/EC/HC/MC-130, C-17, F-16C/D, A-10C, HH-60G, F-15C/D, RC-26, MQ-1 Predator, MQ-9 Reaper, data-link test support and logistics programs.

One of the key highlights was quickly responding to a fleet-wide installation of Real-Time Information in the Cockpit (RTIC) on all ARC C-130H aircraft. This project included the test planning, execution, results, and complete programmatic documentation to improve situational awareness and communication for the warfighter. Additionally, we managed the installation scheduled and provided operations and maintenance training for all C-130H aircraft as the system is fielded.

Because of the success of this project, we were then tasked with integrating a modified C-30 RTIC kit onto a KC-135. This required redesigning and fabricating all the Group A and some Group B as well as working with the software developer to rewrite the RTIC software to interface with the KC-135 operational flight plan. The whole effort for this included providing a complete aircraft technical data package (TDP), authorizing the KC-135 RTIC Capabilities Production Document (CPD) and Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), and generating the T-2 modification package for the Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Finally, another critical task on this contract was designing and developing the C-130 Single Pass Precision Air Drop (SPPAD). In just a year, our team was able to design, manufacture and install an AN/AAQ-28(V) LITENING targeting pod on a C-130H aircraft while also developing a complete Hardware Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) to install hard mounts on 176 C-130 aircraft. Our innovation and cost-effective approach ultimately resulted in significant time and cost savings for the ARC.
