After over a year of patiently waiting for approval, Mike Reynolds, GMRE HH-60 FCF Instructor Pilot, was able to fly alongside son Major Jesse Reynolds – a real dream come true for both. This once in a lifetime experience (literally) was a family event with extended family able to join and see the landing and taxi back in.
Mike has been flying for over 40 years, kicking off his career with the United States Air Force (USAF) before transitioning to working with industry. While his son, Jesse, has been a HH-60 Pilot for the last 12 years in the USAF, currently stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ.
Mike said about this priceless opportunity, “Anytime you can share something you love to do with the ones you love , it’s special! Especially since so few family members EVER get to fly together in military aircraft!” He went on to add, “I’ve certainly been blessed to be able to serve my country all these years and do something I really love to do and am so glad to have this “legacy of service” continue with my son.”
At GMRE, we’re proud to see moments like this that celebrate not only the commitment to service but also the enduring bonds of family and legacy that inspire us all. Congrats to the Reynolds family on this tremendous experience.
