We are pleased to announce that Chris Hayes has been appointed Vice President of Business Development. Since joining GMRE in 2016, Chris has been instrumental in driving growth and fostering key business partnerships. He will lead GMRE’s Growth organization in his new role, focusing on strategic expansion and new business opportunities.
Due to the 2024 reorganization and the establishment of the Growth organization, the Board of Directors has elevated the Director of Business Development to a Vice President-level position. This strategic move reflects GMRE’s commitment to long-term growth and strengthening business development efforts.

Chris began his GMRE career as a Senior Program Manager for the Air National Guard (ANG) and Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Test Center (AATC), where he played a vital role in technical program management, requirements definition, and avionics modernization. He then transitioned to the Business Development organization, where he specialized in identifying new opportunities and strengthening partnerships with Government and industry partners.
Prior to GMRE, Chris served as an Acquisition Program Manager, overseeing key weapon systems such as the C-5, F-15, AC/MC/HC/EC-130, C-17, and the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master of Business Administration and has completed the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Georgia.
