Real Time Information in the Cockpit (RTIC) system installation
The current ABN program has GMRE integrating the Real Time Information in the Cockpit (RTIC) system into the C-5M platform architecture as a federated system. The Tactical Airlift Mission Software Suite (TAMSS) presently implements JREAP-A, but with legacy SATCOM technology phasing out, and the introduction of the MUOS capable Gen 6 ARC-210, the RTIC system is a prime candidate for IP-based MIL-STD-3011 JREAP-C communication. The JREAP-C integration effort will include development of TAMSS source code to implement JREAP-C as well as hardware modifications to the RTIC system which enable MUOS data functionality. In addition, GMRE is responsible for Systems Integration Laboratory modification, Trial Kit and Kit Proof Installations, as well as Technical Order development, and airworthiness documentation requirements.
“We’re excited to extend our work on the C-5M ABN program and further develop capabilities. Our team will continue to execute and deliver high-quality work on these new efforts and upgrades.”
